Duke, the family’s dog, was adopted from a Portland, Connecticut, orphanage. Duke doesn’t like being an orphan, but his family thinks he makes the perfect friend.
Six years later, Duke extends his profound gratitude to Brusso!
When Harper, the family’s newest baby girl, arrived at the home, Duke started praising her right away.
Duke broke into his parents’ room one night while everyone was soundly asleep and jumped into their bed.
He disobeyed every order while obstinately trembling. His mother eventually became aware of the issue.
The nine-week-old child was not breathing at all, and Duke brought his parents to the room where the child was kept.
When Harper’s family rushed him to the ER, a wise doctor intervened and saved his life!
Duke was ready to unwind after making sure his sister was healthy and breathing well.
The thought of what may have happened if Duke hadn’t spotted them in time made the family shudder. They will always be grateful to him for saving them, even though their child is oblivious of his hero status!
We hope that Duke’s story will encourage more people to adopt these brave and devoted rescue dogs!
