When it comes to impermanent ink, Tattly is leading the pack. Guided by the basic belief that “great design and art can make people happy,” the Tattly team works with today’s top creatives to produce temporary tattoos with an artistic twist, whether inspired by flowery embroidery, inspirational text, or, in the case of their Blue Florals set, paintings of cool botanicals.
Designed by Brooklyn-based textile, watercolor, and ink artist Helen Dealtry, this set of temporary tattoos turns original artwork into eye-catching accessories. Each pack of tattoos features two sets of four of Dealtry’s designs, which are distinctive for their floral motifs, loose brushstrokes, and tonal washes. In this case, Dealtry has opted for a blue palette—a color scheme she employed for her Blue Collection of paintings.
“I loved painting in tones of blue,” she explains. “It gave clarity and space allowing me to play with layouts rather than worry about multi-color relationships.” While her exploration of these “multi-color relationships” has also culminated in beautiful tattoos—including In Bloom, one of our favorite sets—it’s only once in a blue moon that monochromatic tattoos can captivate quite like the Blue Florals set.
