For 2024, the Acura portfolio features vehicles with remarkable accuracy and design.

Acura Precision EV Concept 2024. Honda’s premium Acura brand has just launched the Precision EV concept crossover, the precursor to the brand’s first electric vehicle.

Acura Precision EV Concept: two years before the production crossover.

Honda has long been testing electric cars and mass-producing them, but the semi-luxury car brand Acura still does not have such cars.

The first electric Acura will appear only in 2024 – it will be a crossover based on the General Motors Ultium platform that the development partners agreed on two years ago.

And to brighten the wait, an Acura Precision EV concept car has been named, giving a pretty accurate idea of what the future production car will look like.

The display car has the company’s true Acura style but does not have a grille, although it is installed in its original position with the characteristic embossed pentagon stamp.

In terms of dimensions, the concept is almost identical to the production crossover Acura RDX (4747 mm long) and it is clearly recognizable by the current brand’s styling.

The radiator grille is unnecessarily absent, but the characteristic pentagonal shape of the car’s nose remains: it is featured prominently on the blank and backlit dashboard.

The shape of the lighting device is familiar. But new features have been added.

For example, the sharp front shape of the car with converging ridges on the hood is inspired by the luxury bullet train style from Italy.

And on the edges of both the bumpers and on the spokes of the 23-inch wheels there is a three-dimensional geometric pattern called Particle Glitch.

The interior is only shown on design sketches. By design, recycled plastic and synthetic leather made from biomass are used for decoration.

The two screens on the front will have a new generation interface. And the steering wheel instead of the steering wheel refers to the automatic driving mode.

In Spiritual Lounge driving mode, the steering wheel is pushed forward and a relaxing animation is displayed on the screen.

The form of the lighting device in the presented concept is also familiar to current car models of the brand.

Therefore, the Japanese gave the front body of the car a sharp shape with raised ridges converging on the hood.

According to the ideas of the designers, such a decision should be associated with luxury Italian boats.

And the outside of the car also stands out with a three-dimensional Particle Glitch geometric pattern, clearly visible on the front and rear bumper edges as well as on the spokes of the 23-inch wheels.

There are no pictures of the interior but there are design sketches. Judging by these sketches, the front dashboard of the off-road vehicle will have an unusual arrangement between the dashboard screen and the multimedia control panel.

In addition, this concept does not have a traditional steering wheel but instead has an extended steering wheel.

For cars that claim to have an autonomous driving mode, when you activate this «steering wheel» switches to the front panel and the screen displays a relaxing animation.

The developers did not reveal any details about the technology of future electric cars. They are expected before 2024.

And first, a simpler Honda Prologue electric car model on the same Ultium platform will be introduced, then Acura’s opportunity will come.
