Lionel Messi recently made a surprising decision to cooperate with Mark Anthony Brands, the company responsible for producing famous drinks such as White Claw Hard Seltzer and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
The former Barca star plans to launch a new supplement drink this summer. On Instagram post, Lionel Messi said:
“I am excited to be launching a game-changing new supplement. I am invested as an owner. I have never done anything like this before.”
This partnership shows that Messi is willing to try new things and expand his interests beyond sports.
Recently, C. Ronaldo also launched the product CR7 Drive in collaboration with nutritional giant Herbalife. Messi’s drink is expected to hit the market in the summer, with reports that he has partnered with beverage company White Claw.
Messi is currently recovering from an injury and cannot play for the Argentina team or the Inter Miami club.
On March 14, Messi was replaced in the second leg of the Concachampions round of 16 against Nashville due to a muscle injury. This caused the former PSG star to be absent from the next two matches against DC United (3-1 away win) and New York Red Bulls FC (0-4 loss also away).
After Inter Miami lost to New York Red Bull last Sunday, coach Gerardo Martino said about Messi’s situation: “We see Messi every day. As I said last week, Messi comes out to work with with the recovery team.
We’re still doing it every week. Surely this will be a very important week. Of course Martino will not risk Messi if it is not necessary.
