FOXBORO — Over 60,000 tickets have been sold for the New England Revolution’s match on April 27 against Inter Miami CF and generational superstar Lionel Messi.
Expectations for the game are that it will be the highest-attended Revolution soccer match at Gillette Stadium, passing the 2002 MLS Cup match between the Revolution and LA Galaxy that drew 61,316 fans to the then newly-opened
Single-game tickets in the 100 and 200 levels are sold out, with limited inventory in the seating bowl available as part of the Revolution’s full-season membership and multi-game packages.
Fewer than 5,000 tickets remain available for the contest, and single-game tickets on StubHub are listed under $150, with some tickets jumping over $500.
The Revs will go head-to-head with Messi and Inter Miami. looking to get three points at home. Caleb Porter’s Revolution currently sit last in the Eastern Conference at 1-1-4, while Miami is third at 3-3-2.
It may become only the third soccer match in Gillette Stadium’s history to surpass 64,000 fans in attendance — with the highest being an international friendly between Brazil and Mexico in 2007 that drew 67,584.
