Scott Disick has sparked concerns for his health after being photographed looking shockingly gaunt.
The reality TV star has been showing off his dramatic weight loss recently but the latest images of him show just how far things have gone with his sunken cheeks and frail frame. Scott, 40, was seen stepping out for a meal with his friends at Catch Steak in Hollywood on Saturday.
While fans have been worried that his new look could be due to illness or an addiction problem, now a new reason for the drastic change has emerged. Scott – who shares three children with Kourtney Kardashian – has reportedly resorted to using the weight loss drug Ozempic to slim down his frame. The injectable medicine is typically used to treat Type 2 Diabetes but thanks to its powers to help users shed excess weight, it is a popular option for off-label usage in Hollywood.

Scott reportedly turned to the drug after struggling with his “dad bod” when he gained weight after injuring his back in an accident. An insider told DailyMail.com: “He is not ill and isn’t doing hardcore drugs. Kourtney would never allow Scott to spend so much time with their kids if he was in the throes of an addiction.”
They then explained that Scott had been struggling with low self-esteem due to his weight gain and couldn’t stand how he looked. They continued: “Scott started taking Ozempic because he had serious issues with his weight gain. This time last year he saw himself as fat. He had gained a lot of weight and couldn’t stand seeing himself in video footage that aired in the past couple of months. He would go to great lengths to cover it up.”
However, his family are now said to be “worried” about him as he has taken the weight loss too far. The source added: “They will likely use this for show ratings in The Kardashians. Scott is strong and will be able to get through this – especially now that he knows that it has become a huge problem with his image and fame.”

Scott’s health took focus last year when he was visited by Khloe Kardashian during an episode of The Kardashians as she shared her concerns over the back injury he incurred when his Lamborghini flipped upside down in a car crash. In that episode, Scott admitted he hadn’t been doing the prescribed physiotherapy to recover from the injury and told his doctor “I haven’t been able to run around. I’ve gained weight.’
Khloe then told the camera: “I think Scott needs a little pep talk because this is probably the unhealthiest I’ve seen him. He’s barely mobile, and it’s all from his back, so that wouldn’t make anyone feel good.” Scott admitted that he had “gained a lot of weight… because of my back.”
Scott has a history of substance abuse and was hospitalised back in June 2020 for alcohol poisoning. In 2014 he took a near fatal overdose of sleeping pills, after swallowing almost the whole bottle after a night out partying and on the booze. He then entered rehab for a month after being convinced to go by Kourtney.
