Every single dog is unique and has their own distinctive quirks that make them special.
One pooch has a rare condition that means she looks permanently surprised – and it’s hard not to smile looking at her.
Belle the rescue dog was born with a birth defect which means the muscles in her head are stretched back.
Whilst it doesn’t cause Belle any pain, it leaves her with an everlasting shocked expression that garners attention in public and online.
Lieschen O’Connor, 38, adopted the Doberman cross in 2017 from Lawrence Humane Society, an organisation that provides care for homeless and abused animals.

She loves Belle’s unique appearance and says strangers regularly approach her to say Belle is the “cutest pup ever”.
The pooch has won her over 160,000 followers on TikTok with many commenting on her distinct look.
One fan wrote: “Her expressions make my heart swell” whilst another added: “She is the cutest dog on TikTok I love her so much”.
A third added: “I know why but she just looks so stunned all the time and it kills me.”
Lieschen, a project manager in higher education, from Tyler, Kansas, said: “She is gentle with other animals and great with kids.

“Belle is extremely sweet and a little goofy. If dogs could laugh, Belle would definitely laugh a lot!”
Lieschen regularly needs to give Belle eye drops as they often get a little dry, but aside from that, she is just like any other dog.
She added: “If people meet her in person, they usually comment that she is beautiful and has an expressive face.
“People online tend to either think Belle is the cutest pup ever.”

Another unique-looking pet found fame online for looking “just like a cat” – but despite much confusion, Dúi is definitely a dog.
His unique appearance comes from a mix of rare breeds, including the native ancient breed of Hmong and the short-legged breed Dingo.
There’s nothing to suggest two-year-old Dúi has any feline in him, though many people across the world mistake him for a cat online.
Owner Hai Anh, from Vietnam, said: “I’m lucky to have Dúi. He’s quite smart and looks like an English cat.”
Many people believe Dúi’s body resembles that of a cat because of his fluffy grey hair, pointy ears and longer tail – but you can tell that he’s a dog by his face.
