Rosie the kitten was rescued when she was just three weeks old. She was abandoned, cold and hungry. Her lucky day came when she was rescued and brought to live in a house next to three big dogs.
Siberian huskies have a love-hate relationship with cats, some live in harmony, some have an innate hunting instinct that cannot be overcome. But this special trio raised poor Rosie and special Lilo decided to become a surrogate mother.
“Rosie climbed into Lilo’s lap as she snuggled into her thick fur, sleeping on her head and curling up on her muzzle. The more needy Rosie became, the more tolerant and loving Lilo became, which proved instrumental in the kitten’s recovery,” Love Meow said.
Wannabe Siberian husky kitten Rosie was rescued and is now living with her husky rescuers.
Now, since being raised by huskies, Rosie completely believes herself to be a dog and never leaves her best friend Lilo’s side. They went everywhere together. They still play, nap, cuddle and even hang out with their owners.
While the huskies are used to running alongside the bike, Rosie nestles comfortably and safely in the basket. Although Rosie loves walking two miles a day with her huskies, keeping up with the pace is often a challenge for her little legs.
Their adventures are all documented on Lilo’s Twitter page, with photos showing Rosie and the huskies from three weeks to now fully grown.
When Rosie was young and segregated during her husky’s noisy playtime, it was a pitiful place to watch. Lilo and Rosie would sit against either side of the door and howl and pity each other.
According to White Wolf Pack, “The two of them are inseparable, they sleep together at night and Rosie imitates everything Lilo does, including sneaking the dog food when we aren’t looking.”
Rosie and Lilo on a shopping trip to their favorite pet store. Rosie didn’t find the trip as comfortable as her best friend Lilo, that’s for sure.
