Several weeks ago, Hearts Bones Rescue sent a Shepherd mix found on the streets to Dallas Animal Services. The stray recently gave birth to a litter of 11 adorable puppies, but one of them caught everyone’s attention because of her unique feature: a black, mustache-like mark on her face.
Consequently, the canine was given the nickname Salvador Dolly, inspired by renowned Spanish artist Salvador Dalí. In addition to his artistic abilities, Dalí was also recognized for his unique style of facial hair.
The shelter was overwhelmed with the number of stray animals coming in and staff had to act quickly to find them permanent homes. Fortunately, a kind foster home agreed to house the family temporarily until they could be adopted into a loving family.
At the end of August, Salvador Dolly along with his siblings and mother will be ready to be adopted. The little cubs are being cared for very carefully while still feeding on their mother. The mother dog is also being cared for so that she remains healthy enough to care for her entire litter.
The ‘mustache puppy’ named Salvador Dolly has been receiving a lot of love and interest from people who want to adopt her. However, it will still be a few more weeks before she and her family are transported to New York for adoption. While the volunteers are happy for her, they also hope that her mother and ten other siblings receive the same kind of attention and affection as Salvador Dolly.
All of these furry creatures are looking for a place they can call their own, and the best part is that they come with endless dog kisses, fluffy hugs, and unwavering love.
