Eddie Howe admits Newcastle United may have to sell one of their best players this summer to meet Premier League spending regulations. The Arab owners pumped in money and Newcastle posted a loss of £73.4m for the year ending June 2023 and a loss of £150m over the past two years. Bruno Guimaraes could be the one to leave.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in Guimaraes as the Brazilian star can help Newcastle earn 100 million pounds. Facing an uncertain future, the former Lyon player broke his silence before Brazil met England at Wembley:
“I signed for the club and am happy to play for the team. We never know what will happen but for my part, I am happy at Newcastle”.
“We are disappointed with the season but still have a chance to finish at least seventh place and win the Europa League or Conference League to bring the club back to the European competition. Regarding team personnel, I cannot talk too much. I don’t know what will happen in the future but I am very grateful to Newcastle “.
