Atkins diet

The mother of four has been using the Atkins diet (a low-carbohydrate diet) as a way to lose weight after giving birth for many years. The low-carb Atkins diet promotes weight loss, allowing people on the diet to eat more protein and fat.

This diet was first promoted by Dr. Robert Atkins – who wrote the best-selling book about it in 1972. Kim Kardashian shared with ABC News that the Atkins diet is effective. This happened to her after giving birth to her first child in 2013.

Business Insider reported that Kim Kardashian lost 27kg after welcoming her second child in 2015 thanks to this diet.

Specifically, the reality TV star follows the «Atkins 40» diet, eating 40g of starch, 3 servings containing 115-170g of protein and 2-4 servings of fat every day. She also drinks eight glasses of water a day, and occasionally treats herself to a cup of peanut butter.

Exercise regularly

While a strict diet helps Kim Kardashian maintain her perfect body mass, regular workouts and gym sessions also help her easily gain muscles and a toned body.

Kim has trained with many personal trainers with a variety of exercises. She always maintains a non-stop exercise routine.

In an interview with People magazine, Kim Kardashian said she exercises at 6 a.m. every day with a trainer.

The star once posted a video recording her practicing for the third time that day. «I did boxing, I did the treadmill, and now I do leg exercises,» Kim Kardashian shared while filming the video.

In 2024, Kim Kardashian was seen working out with personal trainer and fitness creator Senada Greca. Coach Greca revealed that Kim practiced squats and hip thrusts every time she had free time to tone her lower body.

A low-sugar, plant-based diet

In 2018, Kim Kardashian’s Alcantara trainer prepared recipes to ensure balanced portions of protein, carbohydrates and fat. Her menu always ensures there are no processed foods.

Trainer Alcantara shared with People that Kim Kardashian starts a typical day with blueberry oatmeal pancakes for breakfast and chicken, sweet potatoes and vegetables for lunch. Her dinner usually includes fish and vegetables.

In 2019, Kim Kardashian admitted to eating chicken salad every day for a year. The meal includes shredded chicken, noodles and ginger soaked in sesame sauce.

In 2022, she reached a new turning point in her weight loss process. Sharing with Interview magazine, she said that she eats «as many plants as possible» even though in previous years, she preferred meals made from chicken.

Kim Kardashian admits that she is not perfect, but her lifestyle choice has helped her feel «satisfied with her body and skin».

For breakfast, the businesswoman eats acai berries topped with fresh coconut and fruits including bananas, peaches, and mangoes with protein supplements like nuts and granola. She also enjoys hot tea with almond milk every morning.

Even though she follows a low-carb diet, the businesswoman still recognizes the nutritional role of carbohydrates in a healthy diet.

Cosmopolitan magazine writes: «Kim Kardashian’s trainer always says that, before and after a workout, you should eat simple carbs like sweet potatoes, and small amounts of fat and protein like chicken. You also You should eat vegetables to absorb protein, fat and carbs effectively.

The Atkins diet and strict exercise have proven effective in losing weight for Kim Kardashian. However, she also thanked her coach for the support and motivation every day to make her aware of the importance of maintaining weight.
