Controversy erupted after a Barcelona goal against Real Madrid was ruled out due to the lack of Goal-line technology.

The Premier League was the first top European league to implement goal-line technology in 2014 – inspired by Frank Lampard’s disallowed goal against Germany in the 2010 World Cup.
Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and Eredivisie soon followed the path of the English National League when adopting it in 2015.
In the end, Real Madrid won 3-2 against Barca after 90 minutes of official play, thereby reaching the La Liga championship with one hand as they are currently 11 points ahead of their “great rival” on the rankings.
